An overview of City's agencies, boards & commissions, Office of the City Clerk's role and volunteering to serve on a Civic Agency.
Each year Edmontonians are appointed to Edmonton's Civic boards - which includes agencies, boards, committees, commissions and task forces.
Council values the input of civic boards on maters which impact Edmontonians. Whether advisory, decision-making, quasi-judicial, or governing, all provide citizens with an opportunity to participate in the present and future direction of the city.
The Office of the City Clerk oversees board-member recruitment, appointments and training; as well as the establishment and classification of new boards and assists Council in developing guidelines for the agencies.
