Thank you to the 45% of City employees who participated in the June 2021 employee check-in survey. In this check-in we asked some of the same questions that were asked a year ago, and we see slight declines in our results at a corporate level.
The overall employee engagement score (eSat) is 68, slightly lower than the score of 69 in the last check-in in March 2021 and a larger decline when compared to the eSat score of 74 the same time last year June 2020. The score for recommending the City of Edmonton as a great place to work (66) is also down slightly from March 2021 (69) with a larger decline when compared to the same time last year in June 2020 with a score of 72 .
We saw improvement in supervisors acknowledging employee contributions and having regular check-in conversations with their direct reports.
Scores for providing clear expectations about work and receiving feedback on how to improve from direct supervisors saw slight decreases in scores when compared to June 2020.
