Program Status

Stage One

Stage 1 was completed in 2024. Work included widening between Haddow Drive and Whitemud Drive, adding a shared pathway and landscaping.

Early work construction on Stage 3 is now completed. The project also includes a new shared pathway/pedestrian bridge over Anthony Henday Drive, connecting Windermere and Haddow Drive. Stage three is expected to be in service by 2028.

About the Program

Terwillegar Drive is a key north-south route connecting Edmontonians across the city. The road has exceeded its transportation capacity. To accommodate area growth, a three-stage plan has been approved to alleviate congestion and provide all users a safe and efficient route.
