About the Project

The project includes the construction of northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps to Anthony Henday Drive, two new signalized intersections along 137 Avenue at the ramp terminals.

This project will improve access to the northwest industrial area and help to improve traffic flow, while accommodating all users safely and efficiently.

Road construction is anticipated to begin in 2026 and completed in 2027.

Earthworks for the future ramp development at 137 Avenue / Anthony Henday Drive (AHD) was completed by Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors during the construction of the northwest segment of Anthony Henday Drive. Since then, the surrounding industrial lands in Edmonton have continued to develop, along with growth in adjacent residential areas in St. Albert. The project is located within Edmonton’s municipal boundary and the provincial TUC and once completed will support industrial growth in northwest Edmonton, improve regional connectivity, and enhance safety and traffic flow for all users.
