Rundle Park, located on the north bank of the river in the city’s northeast, has a wide range of features and facilities for users to enjoy. Sports fields, multi-use trails, picnic sites and a  golf course to name a few. It is also home to toboggan hills and an IceWay in the winter.

The City maintains toboggan hills at several locations with safe run-outs, safety signage and reduced hazards.

No smoking or vaping tobacco or cannabis in this park.

Winter Picnic Site

Most picnic sites are now closed for reservation for the season.
The sites listed below are winterized picnic sites available for reservation after Thanksgiving Monday until April.
Please email picnicbookings@edmonton.ca to make a reservation.

Sites available for booking during the off-season:

Rundle Park has 6 picnic sites available for reservation and tables available at no cost for drop-in use. Additionally, group reservation site tables may be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Bring your own wood for the BBQ pit and stoves. Alternatively, firewood is available at the boathouse for an additional fee.
**Off-season reservations are available.

We accept cash, debit, credit (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), or cheque (payable to the City of Edmonton). Minimum 4 hour reservation is required.

Canopied Picnic Sites: $38.95/hr

Non-canopied Picnic Sites: $29.85/hr

Borden Park Picnic Sites: $29.85/hr

  • All sites canopied, no fire pits or grills onsite

Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park Sites 1 and 9: $38.95/hr

  • All sites non-canopied, reservation includes ball diamond

Additional Fees

Some sites offer additional services or permissions, you can request and pay for these at the time of booking.

Power Access*: $46.80/site

  • Extension cords are required

Vehicle Access*: $46.80/site

  • Maximum 3 vehicles for pick up/drop off use only
  • Parking not permitted on parkland

Inflatable permission*

  • $2 million liability insurance required
