Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park

Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park, more commonly known as Laurier Park, is located in Edmonton's west end. Situated on the north bank of the river, the park extends from Whitemud Drive in the west to Buena Vista Drive in the east.

Named after Canada’s seventh Prime Minister, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, this park offers numerous amenities, including several picnic sites and 2 natural playgrounds. Boaters can take advantage of 1 of only 2 public vehicle boat launch locations in the city - the other is at Capilano Park.

For even more to do, head to the northern section of the park to explore the Edmonton Valley Zoo.

Parking

Standard parking includes paved areas along the park road and two gravel lots. Accessible stalls are located on concrete pads.

Bike racks are available onsite for secure lock-up.

Trails and Pathways

Paved trails link the accessible parking area directly to the amenity building and primary trail network. Gravel lot parking is not directly connected to the paved trail network.

Winter Season

After each snowfall, staff will prioritize snow and ice removal for your safety and comfort. This includes clearing primary pathways, accessible parking areas, and key facility routes.
