The Kinsmen Park Washrooms (Seasonal)

Open seasonally during summer, south of the playground. 

Note: The building is not wheelchair accessible and requires navigating over grass up a hill to reach. The park washrooms offer male and female washroom spaces only.

Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool Washrooms (Seasonal) 

During the outdoor pool season, 2 universally accessible washrooms are available on the northern exterior along a concrete pathway connecting the pool entrance to Kinsmen Spray Park. While featuring level access and wide entryways, these facilities lack automatic openers and are considered partially accessible. Hours of operation align directly with seasonal pool hours—please check the facility notifications for updates.

Kinsmen Sport Centre Washrooms (Year-Round and Accessible)

Visitors are welcome to use the washrooms inside the Kinsmen Sports Centre throughout the year. This includes accessible washrooms situated in the main lobby area, serving as the primary washroom facilities during winter when park washrooms are closed.

• Kinsmen Park offers several parking areas, including:
  • The main lot north of the Kinsmen Sport Centre
  • Spaces by the Field House
  • Parallel roadside zones
• Dedicated accessible stalls are located near facility entrances for visitors with limited mobility
• Curb cuts are available throughout the parking areas for transition between vehicles and walkways
• A drop-off and pick-up area is available outside Kinsmen Sport Centre to provide easy access close to the facility entry points

Visitors are welcome to ride bicycles throughout the park using the shared-use path system. For your convenience, bike racks are located near all main facilities.

Vendor E-bikes and E-scooters

Looking for a ride? Vendor e-bikes and e-scooters are frequently available in the designated corral east of the John Walter Museum (off Walterdale Hill and Queen Elizabeth Park Road). When you are finished, please return your unit to the corral or another drop-off zone to keep the trails clear.

Linking to Emily Murphy Park to the west and Queen Elizabeth Park to the east, the primary east-west multi-use path is paved and features a relatively flat surface with gentle inclines.

Please note: access to and from Saskatchewan Drive involves steep grades or staircases. One staircase is equipped with a bike ramp, but grades may be challenging for some users.

Following each snowfall, staff prioritize snow and ice removal to ensure visitor safety and comfort. This includes focusing on clearing primary pathways, accessible parking areas, and key facility routes. Learn more about standard snow clearing service.
