The Edmonton Service Centre offers access to a range of services to support Edmontonians. You are encouraged to make an appointment or access the service they require online, by phone or email wherever possible.
As of June 3, 2024, walk-in inquiries for the following permit and licensing services are no longer available at the Edmonton Service Centre.

In-person appointments are available for booking on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays to help with general questions you may have about business licensing or operating a vehicle for hire. These appointments are not for the purposes of submitting a complete application, which does not require an appointment and can be done during the Edmonton Service Centre’s operating hours.

Both in-person and virtual appointments are available to help with questions you may have about development permits and/or building permits when you are first planning your residential, commercial or industrial construction project.
Note: Permit inquiry appointments are not for the purposes of submitting an application.
Virtual appointments are offered Monday through Friday, and in-person appointments are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

If you do not know your assigned officer, call 311. If you have questions about Trades Permits (Plumbing and Gas, Electrical or HVAC), please book a Trades Permits appointment.

These appointments can be scheduled to pay for City services and Edmonton Transit Service Fares at the Edmonton Service Centre in-person.
Appointments are not available for applications such as the Leisure Access Program or Ride Transit Program. These can be submitted without an appointment by mail or dropped off in person. Review timelines are the same for each method of application.

Our appointment system provides property owners with the opportunity to have a personalized conversation with a knowledgeable Tax Advisor without having to wait in line.
Your Tax Advisor will address your specific questions and concerns, offering expert guidance on the intricacies of taxation, including policy, legislation, deadlines, penalties, the MyProperty secure website, and applications for the property tax Monthly Payment Plan.
Accepted payments for property taxes include debit or cheque.

These appointments can be scheduled to submit paperwork for Leisure Access Program or Ride Transit Program applications at the Edmonton Service Centre in-person.
Please review the application form and ensure you bring the correct documentation and completed forms for your application prior to booking an appointment.
Transit passes may be sold to applicants that same day if the submission meets the required criteria.
