New Changes are Coming Soon!

The Curbside Management Strategy was presented at the Urban Planning Committee in August 2022. This strategy will achieve the goals of The City Plan by treating curbside space (like public street parking) as a strategic public asset in order to balance and prioritize the growing and competing demands for the space.

One of the priorities of the strategy will be to review and modernize the Residential Parking Program with an enhanced program that manages curbside congestion. More information will be coming in 2023.

Annual Household Parking Permits

This permit allows residents within a Residential Parking Program area, which are neighbourhoods with signs along the streets stating "Except Residents With Valid Permit", to park their vehicles on the street. In addition to the household permit, residents are able to request visitor permits to be used for visitors or service vehicles providing services to the household or unit.

Annual Household Parking Permits must be renewed annually.

More information and renewal date deadlines

Temporary Parking Permits

Parking permits for:

  • Contractors completing renovations
  • Out-of-town guests
  • One time social events such as a wedding
  • Students

Eligibility:

  • All Residential Parking Program area residents are eligible

Annual Household Permits need to be renewed annually.
