These appointments can be scheduled virtually to help with your questions about development permits and/or building permits when you are first planning your residential, commercial or industrial construction project. Permit inquiry appointments are not for the purposes of submitting an application.
The types of inquiries for this service may include, but are not limited to:
- Home improvement projects such as building a deck, garage or addition
- Constructing a new residential, commercial or industrial building
- Changing the use of a property
- Additions or alterations to an existing building or site
In the meeting, staff can help answer general questions you may have about the permit requirements for your project. This service is provided free of charge and is available to anyone involved in the project, including but not limited to homeowners or business owners and their contracted professionals. You can also speak directly with a technical advisor about basic permit inquiries without an appointment by calling 311 or contacting us online.
