William Hawrelak Park (originally Mayfair Park) is a 68 hectare park in the river valley featuring a 5 hectare lake and open meadows. The park hosts several major festivals and events throughout the year and is a fantastic location for all Edmontonians and visitors to explore.

Reserve a Picnic Site

Hawrelak Park has 4 picnic sites available for reservation during the summer. Site #2 is also available during the winter. The park has 30 picnic tables available for drop-in (no fee) use. Additionally, reservation site tables that aren't reserved in advance may be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.

We accept cash, debit, credit (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), or cheque (payable to the City of Edmonton). Minimum 4 hour reservation is required.

Canopied Picnic Sites: $38.95/hr

Non-canopied Picnic Sites: $29.85/hr

Borden Park Picnic Sites: $29.85/hr

  • All sites canopied, no fire pits or grills onsite

Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park Sites 1 and 9: $38.95/hr

  • Reservation includes ball diamond
