The Reuse Centre promotes reuse and waste reduction through various events. Join us for any one of our upcoming reuse events.
DIY Thursday Workshops
DIY Thursdays are free workshops featuring local experts that focus on building skills to help you reduce waste! Past DIY Thursdays have included: Bike repair, gardening workshops and sewing.

| October 8 | Shashiko Repair Learn to repair clothing with this beautiful mending technique. |
| October 15 | Sip n Stitch Join us to work on your sewing projects, or repair your Halloween costume, and have some tea or coffee! Sewing machines available, there will not be an instructor. |
| October 29 | Treats and Trivia Join us at the Reuse Centre and play waste-themed games and trick or treat! You'll also be able to redecorate a basket to use for trick or treating! |
| November 5 | Loom Knitting Learn to knit a scarf on a loom using unwanted yarn! |
| November 12 | Dress Altering Learn to make your dress fit perfectly, just in time for the holiday season! |
| November 19 | Reusable T-Shirt Bag Make a handy reusable bag from reused fabric! |
| November 26 | Plastic Canvas Ornaments This kid-friendly workshop is the perfect place to start learning to hand sew! Children must be supervised by an adult. Ages 7+ |
| December 3 | Neural Art Wrapping Paper Make hand-drawn wrapping paper using this art technique for the holidays. |
| December 10 | Drawstring Gift Bag Sustainable gift wrap is in! Make an amazing reusable gift bag. |
Reuse Centre Swap Events
Swap events focus on specific types of items, such as books, movies and toys. Residents can trade items with each other at no charge in a fun and safe environment.
Rather than throwing them away, or letting them collect dust on the shelf, you can give them a second life and find something new for yourself! Bring up to 5 items to trade, free of charge.
The Reuse Centre will still be open for regular business during the swap, so you are welcome to drop off any donations you may have while you're here.
