Master Composter Recyclers are community advocates for waste reduction. These volunteers help Edmontonians reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost.
Master Composter Recyclers (MCRs) are skilled volunteers who influence friends, family, neighbours and coworkers to take specific actions that reduce waste.
This is a "learn and serve" volunteer program. It includes both training and volunteering in the community.

Note: A Police Information Check may be required for this role.
Volunteers complete 35 hours of training over 8 classes from March to June, with 1 follow-up class in September.
Training includes classroom sessions, virtual classes, facility tours and hands-on activities.

Master Composter Recyclers are self-directed volunteers. There are many volunteer activities to fit the skills, interests, and availability of each volunteer. Each activity encourages Edmontonians to reduce waste.
