Instructional School Swim Programs are a fun, active and educational way for children and youth to develop aquatic skills with their peers.
Our Instructional School Swim Programs, led by certified instructors, teach students life-saving water skills, improve physical coordination and build teamwork through fun, educational pool activities. We provide aquatic instructors and lead the swimming program for your class.
Aquatic School Bookings are currently closed. Applications and acceptance open on September 9 at 10am for the 2026-2027 school year.
Swim Program Options
Swim to Survive / Swim to Survive +
Have Fun! Be Safe! Stay Fit! Students will explore water sports, safety and aquatic exercise in this instructor-led program. We will equip your class with swimming skills and strokes to help them become better swimmers, and learn to make safe choices when in, on and around water.
Program Cost: $11.45 per student
Instructor Cost:
- $35.25 per hour, or
- $17.63 - half hour
Class Ratio: 8 students per instructor
Capacity: 24 students maximum

- Swim to Survive: One 30-minute lesson
- Swim to Survive +: Four 30-minute lessons

Capacity: 30 students maximum

Aquafit Fitness Program
Get fit! Aquafit is a fun and energetic aerobic exercise class that uses the water for resistance. Low to zero impact is easy on bones and joints. A 1-hour class set to music and taught by certified instructors.
Note: this program is by request only and is dependent on instructor availability.
Target Group: Grade 1 and up
Location: All Recreation Centres and Pools
Instructor Cost: $87.95 per hour
Capacity: 40 students maximum
