Capital City Clean Up is pleased to partner with WILDNorth. This innovative program teaches children how they can make a difference in their environment.
Elementary students become Junior Wildlife Ambassadors after learning how to minimize their impact on the wildlife in their area. The four free presentations are designed to complement each grade’s curriculum. These include the following:
Only schools that are located within the City of Edmonton municipal limits are eligible to register for the School Yard Clean Up Program (the “Program”). Each school may only register ONCE for the Program. Registration will be open until the end of March.
Each school that requests supplies will receive approximately 50 garbage bags and 100 disposable gloves per 100 students registered. These cleanup supplies will be used for a school yard cleanup activity/event that is created, hosted, supervised and managed by the school.
All cleanup supplies will be delivered around mid-April to participating schools through the internal mail systems of the Edmonton Public School Board or the Edmonton Catholic School Board. Any schools outside of these boards must pick up their supplies from the Capital City Clean Up office after April 1, located at: #201, 9304 – 41 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta. An appointment for pick-up is required.
Each school that requests cleanup supplies may submit their final cleanup statistics to the City of Edmonton. The link to submit these statistics will be provided via email at a later date. Every school that provides their final cleanup statistics before then end of May will be entered into a draw and will be eligible to win a classroom pizza party for a maximum of 30 kids.
