School Programs

Keeping our neighbourhood and school areas clean is easy when everyone gets involved.

Teachers or students can lend a hand, make a video or learn about litter and wildlife. Make a difference in your community with these Capital City Clean Up programs.

Everyday tips for students:

  • Use reusable containers for lunches and snacks
  • When outside for recess, make sure all your empty snack packages makes it into a garbage can
  • Pick up litter when you see it and put it in a garbage can

Call 311 to report graffiti or litter you can't pick up.

Schoolyard Clean Up

Every spring after the snow melts school grounds in Edmonton need a little extra attention to make sure they’re clean and safe.  Capital City Clean Up (CCCU) with the City of Edmonton (COE) offers elementary, junior, and senior high students a program that lets them show school pride and share the responsibility of a cleaner community.
