Terwillegar Park Parking Lot Expansion
As one of Edmonton’s most popular parks, Terwillegar Park has a significant demand for parking. The City of Edmonton is proposing to expand the parking lot in Terwillegar Park to meet this demand.
The new long-term gravel parking lot would be located west of the existing lot and would provide 112 new spaces. The expanded parking lot in this location aligns with the City Council approved Terwillegar Park Concept Plan Study.

The process to approve this long-term gravel parking lot will be subject to detailed environmental studies, public consultation, and City Council approval.
Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback on the proposed plan to expand the parking lot. The results of the survey are summarized in the public engagement report. This report, along with environmental reports, will be presented to the Urban Planning Committee in August 2016. Pending their approval of the plan, construction of the parking lot could begin in fall 2016.
