Branches
The Assessment and Taxation branch works to ensure fair and transparent property assessment and taxation that meets provincially legislated standards. This is critical to meeting revenue requirements to fund City programs and services and the Provincial Education Property Tax requisition.
Assessment and Taxation prepares annual market value assessments for all properties, including amended and supplementary assessments. It is responsible for taxation billing, including administration of the Monthly Payment Program.
The Branch administers the assessment and taxation requirements for Community Revitalization Levy (CRL) areas and Business Improvement Areas (BIAs).
Corporate Procurement and Supply Services is the centralized supply chain management and tendering authority for the City of Edmonton. Annually, the Branch manages more than $1 billion of spending on a wide range of goods, services and construction projects, while maintaining over 80,000 inventoried items.
Finance and Treasury Services ensures the organization is financially sound, accountable and transparent in managing public funds. These goals are accomplished through sound fiscal policy, strategic financial advice and guidance and the development of effective and efficient processes. This branch also manages the capital and operating budget process for the organization and monitors Edmonton's ever-changing economic environment.
