New Single Family House Permit Application Form
To apply for approval to build a new house which includes all of the development, building, plumbing, gas, heating, sewer and water permits.
This application can also include the construction of a new secondary suite as long as this construction is being done at the same time as the construction of the new home. If the secondary suite is being constructed after the home is built, you will need to fill out the Secondary Suite for an Existing Single Family Home application form.
Secondary Suite for an Existing Single Family Home Application Form
An application to apply for permits to build either a new secondary suite into an existing single family home or to apply for permits for a secondary suite that has already been built without permits into an existing single family home.
Semi Detached or Duplex Housing Application Form (new construction)
An application for construction of a new semi-detached (2 units side by side) or duplex (2 units above each other) residential building.
Row Housing or Stacked Row Housing Application Form (new construction)
An application for permits to build a new row house (3 or more units side by side) or a stacked Row House (3 or more units with any unit wholly or partially stacked above another).
Garden Suite Permit Application Form
To apply for approval to build a new Garden Suite (this construction must be for a separate dwelling from the primary residence) or to apply for permits for an existing Garden Suite. If you are building a Secondary Suite into an existing home, please fill out the Secondary Suite Application Form.
Footing and Foundation ONLY Building Permit Form
For use in conjunction with an application for New House Construction. This is an optional request for an expedited building permit for construction of the foundation and main floor deck of the project.
The permit holder assumes all risks, as the final building permit for the project has not yet been issued. Code references are to Division B of the Alberta Building Code 2014.
