Eleven pedestrian bridges and 4 staircases located in Mill Creek Ravine, east of 50 Street and north of 34 Avenue, are past the point of maintenance and are needing to be replaced.
These trails, pedestrian bridges and staircases are important connections. The Mill Creek Ravine in this area is a busy recreational spot that is used by people walking, biking, jogging, dog-walking, cross-country skiing and bird watching.

Fall/Winter
Work began in March 2021 and will be substantially completed by fall 2021 with any final cleanup and miscellaneous incomplete work to be completed in the spring of 2022 (if required).
This work will require closures of the trails located in the Mill Creek Ravine area, with detours in place, in order to accommodate bridge and staircase replacements.
The work is scheduled to occur in 3 groups in order to limit the impact of trail closures so that access in the area can be maintained. Work on Group 1 started in March 2021.
