Little Mountain is a quaint cemetery that is said to be like walking into an old county churchyard.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, graveside ceremony attendance is limited, with mandatory masking and 2 metre physical distancing. Indoor interment gatherings are restricted to up to 10 people and outdoor interment gatherings are restricted to up to 20 people.

Cemetery Service

With the provincial measures recently announced, Municipal Cemeteries has both walk-in services (payments/map requests) and in-person appointments available at Beechmount, South Haven and Mount Pleasant. We request all patrons and clients to abide by all Government of Alberta health protocols and posted signage.

Little Mountain is a mixture of old fashioned simplicity with a touch of mystique that creates an atmosphere of reverence.

Many of the pioneers who settled northeast of Edmonton have made Little Mountain their final resting place. In 1895 this site, on the highest point in the area, was chosen to be a cemetery and serve the north-east of what is now, Edmonton. The City assumed responsibility for the cemetery in 1985.
