Construction Update - October 2026

It’s the second year of Dunluce Neighbourhood and Alley Renewal and construction is underway. Work consists of reconstruction and paving of the roads and alleys, removal and replacement of public sidewalk, curb, gutter, street lighting and landscaping. 

Front Streets Construction

Please view this scope map to see the 2026 construction area for front streets and alley construction.

The laydown area for the front streets contractor is east of the Dunluce Community Playground. Please also be advised that other contractors will be in the project area adjusting utilities in various locations.

All schedules are subject to change. This web page will be updated throughout construction. 

Work is ongoing in the following locations:

  • Asphalt shared-use path pouring on the east side of 127 Street from 153 Avenue to 158 Avenue
  • Asphalt shared-use path pouring on the east side of 121 Street from 153 Avenue to 158 Avenue
  • Roadway removal and reconstruction on 121 Street from 153 Avenue to 158 Avenue
  • Replacement of street light poles and luminaires for the 2026 scope of work
  • Landscaping: 158 Avenue loop, 159 Avenue loop, 161 Avenue culs-de-sac and 123A Street
  • Orval Allen Park
    • Ongoing trail construction, including park lights
  • AltaLink Corridor
    • Ongoing trail construction and park lighting installation from 153 Avenue to 157 Avenue

Upcoming work is occurring in the following locations:

  • Roadway paving on 121 Street from 153 Avenue to 158 Avenue
  • CCC / deficiency work is ongoing
  • Landscaping: 157 Avenue from Castle Downs Road to 121 Street and Orval Allen Park

Alley Construction

The 2026 scope of work for Dunluce alleys is now complete.

Prepare for Construction

The City of Edmonton and EPCOR are working together to construct Low Impact Development (LID), which will help with stormwater retention and help mitigate flooding.

Please watch your mailbox for construction bulletins that will provide more information along with details on landscaping and access. All residents and business owners are asked to access their homes and businesses through the back entrances and alleys, where possible, during construction. 

If no alley access is available and/or you have special access requirements (such as DATS or a temporary access ramp to the front of your home), please contact the Construction Project Manager, Stephen Au, at 780-496-4055 or 311, to coordinate.

Construction in Dunluce is expected to take 5 years (planned completion fall 2029).
