Phase 2 Parking Ban: residential and local industrial roads in effect beginning at 7pm Tuesday, January 24. The ban remains in effect until declared over.
If you're parked on a road that is under a parking ban, you may be ticketed and towed. If your vehicle is towed, it will be moved to the nearest cleared roadway and can be located with the Vehicle Finder or by calling 311.
When snow falls, the City works hard to ensure safe mobility no matter how Edmontonians choose to travel across the city. Learn more about how we respond to snow and ice in your neighbourhood and on major roads.

During parking bans, the map will be activated to display the status of road-clearing operations.
Using the Map
Type in your address or zoom into the area of the city and click on the road segment to see additional information. During Phase 2 Residential and Industrial Road parking bans, the date your roadway is scheduled to be cleared is listed when a road segment is clicked. If no date appears in the popup, your area has not yet been scheduled.
Snow removed from roads is taken to one of Edmonton's snow storage facilities.
Where To Park
There are several parking options depending on which ban is underway.
During a Major Roads Parking Ban (Phase 1), the City clears major roads, core business areas and bus routes (busy roads like Jasper Avenue or 124 Street). A Residential & Industrial Roads Parking Ban (Phase 2) is sometimes called after a Major Roads Parking Ban. These are the quieter roads, like the one in front of your house. It is dependent on many factors, such as the amount of snowfall.
