Northern Lights is surrounded by oak trees and features a Chinese pavilion and a Wall of Remembrance in memory of our military veterans.

While the City of Edmonton respects every citizen's right to visit Municipal Cemeteries to pay respect to loved ones and to practice religious and cultural traditions, we urge everyone to stay home if they can, as we all work together to help combat the spread of COVID-19. If you do make the decision to visit a cemetery, please take precautions by limiting your visit time, practicing social distancing, not sharing food and washing your hands often.

This North Edmonton cemetery was unofficially known as Sturgeon Cemetery before being named Sturgeon Heights Memorial Park in 1986. A year later it was renamed Northern Lights Cemetery. The City of Edmonton has owned the land since 1972.
