Distribution of Complimentary Flowers Temporarily Suspended

To prevent the COVID-19 spread, the City is temporarily suspending the distribution of complimentary flowers for visitors to put down on their loved one’s resting place on special days including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

We hope to reinstate this program in the future as COVID-19 conditions change.

This North Edmonton cemetery was unofficially known as Sturgeon Cemetery before being named Sturgeon Heights Memorial Park in 1986. A year later it was renamed Northern Lights Cemetery. The City of Edmonton has owned the land since 1972.
