Household hazardous waste is the unwanted poisonous, flammable, corrosive or reactive substances from our homes. These items can poison the environment if buried in a landfill.
Bringing them to an Eco Station protects people and our environment. Drop-off is always free for residents.

E-waste, or electronic waste, refers to unwanted electronic products like old computers, cell phones and home appliances.
E-waste contains metals like lead, mercury and cadmium that are harmful to the environment if buried in a landfill. When brought to an Eco Station, these and other valuable materials are recovered and recycled into new products.
Bring anything with a battery or cord to an Eco Station. Except for items containing refrigerants, drop-off is always free.

Businesses (including junk removal companies) and other non-residential organizations can also drop off waste at Eco Stations. The accepted items and fees are the same as those listed for residents, with some important exceptions:
When batteries enter the residential waste stream, they can leak toxic chemicals into the air, soil and water. They can also interact with other items in the trash and explode or catch fire. Avoid the risk by dropping off used batteries - big and small - at an Eco Station or participating business.
Retailers that recycle used batteries include:
