We are pleased to announce the Keltie Byrne Fitness Centre, training studio, Functional Training Centre, upper Field House cardio area and select court sports are now open.

The aquatic centre is also fully open.

Facility modifications are in place to ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff. 

Booking a time to visit is required prior to all visits. For more information, including facility status, safety guidelines and booking details, visit Edmonton.ca/RecCentres.

Due to new COVID-19 restrictions announced by the Government of Alberta, the following programs are cancelled from November 13 - November 28

• Group fitness classes 
• Aquafit and public swim 
• Dance and theatre classes
• Basketball and indoor soccer
• Squash, racquetball and wallyball

The following are still available at this time:

• Fitness centres
• One-on-one personal training if booked in a studio
• Lane swim, hot tub, swim lessons
• Tennis, table tennis, pickleball, badminton (in cohorts of two)
• Arts classes including painting, photography, writing, knitting, clay, pottery, crochet, cake decorating, ukulele, guitar and hand drumming.

If you were registered for a class or program that has been cancelled, you will be contacted with further details. 

Kinsmen Sports Centre is one of the most unique sport centres in North America and a world class destination for competitions, sport training and fitness needs. A dual mandate facility, Kinsmen supports high performance user groups and individuals serious about fitness, as well as providing a wide range of opportunities and experiences for all ages and abilities.

We have adjusted our processes to ensure we are keeping the health and safety of our guests and staff our first priority.

All City recreation centre visitors are required to book a time slot in advance. Facility modifications are in effect, to ensure the safety of visitors and staff in compliance with Alberta Health guidance and public health orders.
