As part of the City of Edmonton’s commitment to offering the highest quality facilities and amenities, scheduled maintenance is required to inspect and care for our facilities. 

The facilities listed below are currently closed, partially closed or soon to be closed for regular maintenance.

Aquatic Centre at Commonwealth

The aquatic centre at Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre will be shut down for maintenance from June 29 - September 11, 2026. There will be no pool access or swimming lessons offered during this time.

Kinsmen Field House Closure

The Field House at Kinsmen Sports Centre is closed from April 13, 2026 to summer/fall 2027 for necessary rehabilitation. This Kinsmen Field House rehabilitation is fully funded and will deliver significant improvements, including artificial turf installation on the centre courts, installation of a five-lane synthetic competitive lower running track, an expanded and reimagined Functional Training Centre (FTC) and more. These enhancements reflect our commitment to creating a modern, high-performing sport and serious individual fitness environment for all users.
