As part of the City of Edmonton’s commitment to offering the highest quality facilities and amenities, scheduled maintenance is required to inspect and care for our facilities.
The facilities listed below are currently closed, partially closed or soon to be closed for regular maintenance.
Mill Woods Recreation Centre Aquatic Centre
The Aquatic Centre and aquatic change rooms at Mill Woods Recreation Centre will be closed from November 17, 2025 to January 30, 2026. The rest of the facility will remain open.
As part of the City of Edmonton’s commitment to offering the highest quality facilities and amenities, this shutdown is required to complete planned maintenance.
Planned Work
- Maintenance to mechanical, electrical and structural components, including draining pools and deep cleaning basins, grout and tile repairs
- Overhead light replacements/ upgrades
- Painting
- Air handling and vent cleaning
Inspection and servicing of mechanical systems may also occur, such as anti entrapment drains, filtration, disinfection, and circulation pumps and sauna elements, as well as filter and surge tank cleaning, coatings and filter media replacement.
Hardisty Fitness and Leisure Centre
Hardisty Fitness and Leisure Centre will be closed until February 12, 2026 due to emergent cleaning and repairs.
Bonnie Doon Leisure Centre
Bonnie Doon Leisure Centre will be closed January 19 to March 20, 2026.
As part of the City’s commitment to offering the highest quality facilities and amenities, this shutdown is required to complete the repairs and ensure the facility is safe to re-open.
