Project Update - December 2025
Utility location work will take place in the alleys in Menisa, starting in the next few weeks.
The utility work may include surface markings (spray paint on pavement and flags placed in the ground) as well as surveying utilities through holes drilled in the alley surface. During this work, holes may be temporarily covered with steel plates and the alley surface will be restored once the utility location work is complete.

About the Project
As part of the Neighbourhood Renewal program, Alley Renewal outlines a cost-effective, long-term strategic approach to renew and rebuild alleys. Alley Renewal involves alley reconstruction and repaving, improvements to surface drainage, where possible, and upgrading existing alley lighting to LED fixtures. Opportunities to improve active mode connections (for walking, rolling and biking) and traffic safety are also explored.
During the project, the Project Team will seek community feedback to guide the Alley Renewal process and design.
New alley lighting can be made available through a Local Improvement process, if property owners are interested.
