Crawford Plains, Daly Grove and Pollard Meadows have been chosen for Alley Renewal. Construction has been underway since 2023 and is expected to be completed by fall 2024.

Project Update - September 2024

The final stage of Alley Renewal construction in Crawford Plains, Daly Grove and Pollard Meadows began this spring, with anticipated completion by fall 2024. The scope of work in the community includes alley reconstruction, concrete works and landscaping.

Construction in Pollard Meadows is mainly completed with construction on remaining landscaping items underway.

The Crawford Plains and Daly Grove scope of work is underway and slated for completion by November 2024.

Garbage and Recycle Collection

While your alley is closed for construction, waste cart and recycling bag collection will occur from your front street or avenue. Carts and recycle bags should be placed in a visible location along the curb or back of the sidewalk, at which point collection workers will maneuver carts so they can be emptied.

Please mark your home address in the space provided on the carts to ensure they are returned home after collection.

Project Update - May 2023

Thank you to everyone who joined our Public Information Event for Crawford Plains, Daly Grove & Pollard Meadows Alley Renewal on April 13, 2023. The Public Information Event allowed residents to speak directly with the project team about their questions and concerns.

Construction in Crawford Plains, Daly Grove & Pollard Meadows alleys will commence in spring 2023 with the majority of work completed by fall of 2024. There may be some additional work required in 2025.

Project Update - November 21, 2022

This fall, the Project Team reviewed the feedback provided from the spring 2022 engagement to create designs for your neighbourhood’s alleys. We asked you to provide any additional information you felt should be considered as we move forward with the project. The Engage Edmonton ideas tool closed on November 18, 2022 and we appreciate everyone who took the time to provide their valuable feedback.

Project Update - April 2022

Thank you to everyone who engaged with us during this first stage of engagement of Alley Renewal.

The online survey closed on April 14, 2022 and we appreciate everyone who took the time to provide their feedback through the survey, emails and phone calls with the project team.

The project team will review all of the feedback provided, along with technical information and City policies and programs, for consideration in the development of the designs and we will provide further updates later this year.
