All City departments and branches were asked to find efficiencies to support Council’s goal to balance tax increases as part of the 2024 Fall Supplemental Operating Budget Adjustment (SOBA). Options were discussed and, based on budget decisions approved by Council, a number of programs will be adjusted and reduced.
Vibrant Streets is among the impacted programs and has been discontinued as of 2025.

We have enjoyed seeing public artwork increase the vibrancy and livability of public streets, sidewalks and alleyways through these programs.
Existing decorative crosswalks, alleyways and traffic control boxes will remain intact for their lifecycles. Painted crosswalks and alleyways will fade over time and touch-ups will only occur if there is significant vandalism.
