EPark has several convenient ways to pay for parking with or without an account.

You only need to enter your licence plate when you start a parking session. Use coins, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Amex), Visa or Mastercard debit cards, prepaid gift cards (Mastercard, Visa) to pay for parking online or through the EPark app (register gift cards online before using). EPark machines will not accept debit cards.

Sign up for an EPark account online or download the EPark app so you can pay for parking anytime and anywhere. Or use Virtual Pay to make a quick, one-time payment online. You will need to enter a zone entry number when starting a parking session. Use the map feature on the EPark app or online to locate an EPark zone.

Rates, hours and locations vary depending on where you park.

Pay Without An Account

EPark Machine

These instructions are also provided on the pay machines.

  1. Remember your licence plate number
  2. Find closest EPark pay machine
  3. Enter your licence plate number
  4. Pay by $2, $1 or $0.25 coins, by credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Amex), or by prepaid gift card (Mastercard, Visa); please note that machines do not provide change or accept debit or Visa debit
  5. Select the time needed by using the + button or selecting Max Time 
  6. Press the green checkmark if you would like a receipt

A receipt is not required for your dash and your licence plate will be automatically registered in the system. If you need to add additional time to your parking session, use the same EPark machine where you made your initial payment.

To Make a Correction

Select the red X button to correct information entered within 30 seconds, including licence plate or amount paid.

Virtual Pay Machine

The Virtual Pay Machine allows anyone to securely pay for parking in any EPark zone with their smartphone using a credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Amex), Visa or Mastercard debit card, or a prepaid gift card*. No account is needed.

The prepaid gift card must be registered prior to using it for any e-transactions.

Three ways to use the Virtual Pay Machine:

  2. Download the MyEpark app and select Virtual Pay on the home screen

How to pay:

  1. Enter the four-digit parking zone number that you are parked in and enter your licence plate
  2. Select the amount of time you need from the drop-down menu
  3. Enter your email if you would like a receipt (optional)
  4. Review your parking session details, select Back to make changes
  5. Select Proceed to Payment when you are ready
  6. Enter your credit card or prepaid gift card information to complete payment
  7. A receipt is never required for your dash; your licence plate is automatically entered into the system

Pay Using an EPark Account

EPark App

A few reminders when using the EPark App:

  • Download the free EPark App on Google Play or the App Store in advance of your parking session
  • Your license plate and phone number must be unique to one account within the EPark App
  • When an EPark account is used, you must start and end your parking session
  • No refunds are provided for unused time as you choose the amount of parking time that you would like to purchase at the start of your session


    Benefits of the MyEPark App

    • Start and stop parking sessions in EPark zones — no need to pay for more than the actual time that you decide to park
    • Add funds to your EPark Account manually or enable Auto Top Up to ensure you never run out of account funds
    • Activate notifications that alert you of low funds in your account or when a parking session is about to end in app, by phone or by email
    • Use the Park a Friend feature to park any license plate
    Business Shared Accounts or Shared Accounts

    Businesses can set up an EPark account to use as a business account.

    To add phone numbers and license plates go to “Add phone” and “Add license plate.” Please note the phone number and license plate cannot be associated with any other account.

    When using the app, all business account users will use the same email and password to log in.

    Also, users will be able to pick a default license plate and phone number to use for their specific parking session.

    Text or Call

    Set up an account through the MyEPark app or online.

    Once your account is set up, you can pay for on-street or parkade parking in EPark zones.

    You must use the same phone number to activate and deactivate a session. A $0.25 minimum is charged for on-street parking and will depend on the surface lot or parkade. EPark parkades have a maximum time limit of 48 hours.

    Receiving Reminders

    When you activate your parking session by text or phone call, you will receive reminders that your parking session is ending either by phone call or email.

    Park a Friend

    This feature allows you to start a parking session for any licence plate that is not already on your account, whether it is a rental car, company vehicle or a licence plate from another account. It allows you to specify the amount of time and funds.

    The Park-a-Friend pay option can be found on the EPark app by pressing the 3 bars on the top left-hand corner of your screen. Park-a-Friend can be used as a default parking option.

    1. Login to your account through the MyEpark app or online
    2. Select More Options
    3. Select Park a Friend
    4. Enter the four-digit parking zone number and license plate to start a parking session
    5. Select the end time for the session
    6. Select Start and OK to confirm
    7. Your account will be credited back for any unused time
    Setup Future Parking Sessions

    Using the Online Activations feature, account holders can book future dates and times for parking (parking is not reserved).

    Set Up a Future Parking Session
    1. Login to your EPark account
    2. Select More Options tab at the top of the page
    3. Select Online Activation
    4. Select the date to schedule an activation
    5. Select Add New Event
    6. Enter the event name
    7. Select the start and end time and select Next
    8. Enter the licence plate and four-digit parking zone number
    9. Select Add Vehicle
    10. Select Save Event to schedule or Close to exit without saving

    Your parking session will start automatically according to the start time you chose. Remember to use Online Activation to end a parking session. When you stop a session, you only pay for the time you were parked.

    Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is not guaranteed. There are no refunds for sessions that have started but are not used or if another location is used. Payments can be backdated to a maximum of 2 hours, in 15 minute increments.

    Group Event Parking

    Event organizers can pay for a group’s parking in advance of the event when using the Stanley A. Milner Library parkade or the Canada Place parkade. An event code can be set up in advance, two weeks prior to the event and shared with the group members, which provides the group with prepaid parking during a designated time. 

    A maximum number of usages will be set up and the organizer is billed after the event date, based on the actual parking used. Event organizers requesting prepaid group event parking need to provide EPark a minimum two weeks notice. To set up a prepaid group event parking option, please contact
