Citizen Working Groups
The City has 5 Citizen Working Groups for the Valley Line West LRT project. The groups are part of how the City works with neighbouring communities to share information, identify issues and seek opportunities to minimize impacts related to construction.
Community leagues and other major stakeholder organizations along the alignment have been invited to assign a member to the working group in their area, and each group has 2 members from the public at large, selected by their peers at a series of public meetings held in August 2017.
Initial meetings of these working groups took place in fall 2017 and are ongoing. Meetings are open to the public.
