Valley Line Southeast trains opened for passenger service on Saturday November 4, 2023.
Update - June 2026
The City is bringing Valley Line operations in-house to Edmonton Transit Service (ETS). Over the next 1 to 2 years, operation of the Valley Line Southeast will transition from TransEd to ETS, with ETS eventually operating the full line, once construction of Valley Line West is completed. This change allows for a more integrated public transit network. Transit riders will continue to experience smooth, seamless service during this transition. More information will be shared as we move through the transition process. Questions can be directed to the City’s LRT Project inquiry line below.
About the Project
The Valley Line LRT is a 27 km low-floor, urban line that will operate between Mill Woods in southeast Edmonton and Lewis Farms in west Edmonton. The project is being built in 2 stages.
