Located in the Downtown Warehouse District, the Warehouse Campus Neighborhood Central Park will cover 1.25 hectares (roughly 12,500 square meters or just over 2 football fields) between 106 and 107 Streets and Jasper Avenue to 102 Avenue.

By 2030, an estimated 25,000 residents are expected to be living Downtown. This park will serve as a major public amenity for residents and businesses.

This project is a significant Catalyst Project identified in the Capital City Downtown Plan, and is fully funded by the Capital City Downtown Community Revitalization Levy.

Project Timeline

Concept Phase: 2020-2021

The City is committed to design excellence in all of our projects. The project vision, goals, and design parameters identified in the Strategy Phase will be used to develop a design competition given the prominence of the site, size of investment, and the new park’s potential to revitalize Downtown.

The design competition will result in a concept option that will be refined through public engagement prior to the conclusion of this project phase.

Strategy Phase: 2017-2019

In June 2019, the project vision, goals and design parameters were presented to the public at an engagement event.

Land Acquisition
In early 2017, City Council approved the commencement of the expropriation of 4 parcels in the Central Warehouse Area for the park, with an additional parcel subsequently identified for acquisition.

By October 2019, the City secured a total of 1.25 hectares (3 acres) for the park.
