Damaged or missing carts? You can request cart repairs, size exchanges or replacements by filling out our online form.
To submit your request you may need:
Submit a cart repair request for the following types of damage:
Repairs are generally completed within 5 business days of your request. Repairs are free when resulting from normal wear and tear, or an incident beyond your control.
Submit a cart exchange request to change the size of your garbage cart:
Utility rates are based on garbage cart size. Your new rate will take effect on the day you receive your new cart. Save $5 a month with a small cart!
Cart exchanges are generally completed within 5 business days of your request. Your first exchange is free. Afterwards, an administrative fee of $18.50 will be applied.
Please note: Size exchanges are available for garbage carts only. Food scraps carts come in one size (120L).
If your cart is inaccessible or unsafe to work on, your work will be rescheduled. A fee of $18.50 may be applied to your utility bill for missed service.
If you are unsure which cart is best for you, we highly recommend you use the large cart for weeks to be sure before submitting the cart size exchange request.
If your household produces less garbage (2-3 bags per collection), you can request a smaller garbage cart.

Report your cart as lost or stolen. It generally takes 5 business days to replace your cart, or reunite you with your lost cart. Replacement is free, but recurring lost or stolen cart reports may result in an investigation and service fees.
