Edmonton Transit Service makes a difference to the quality of life in Edmonton. Each year, Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) supports numerous events and philanthropic initiatives and considers ongoing requests for free or reduced fares, or promotional activities within transit spaces from Edmonton-based organizations that contribute to the social and environmental well-being of the community.

Qualification Criteria

To be considered, an event or activity should support:

  • Initiatives that are inclusive and contribute to improving the quality of life in Edmonton
  • Initiatives that support the volunteer efforts for festivals and events
  • Initiatives that generate community support for public transit
  • By helping existing or prospective transit riders in some way
  • Promoting a positive ETS brand image and service quality as part of the event
     

ETS does not provide:

  • Chartered bus service for free or at a reduced cost.
  • Monetary contributions.
  • Free transit fare for conference participants. The Event Transit Pass offers special pricing for groups of 50 people or more.
  • Advertising in transit spaces. For information about advertising on ETS property, please contact Pattison Outdoor.

All requests must be submitted online and a minimum of 3 months from the first date of the event or activity.

All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please note ETS does not have the capacity to support every request, and in its sole discretion, may determine to limit or not proceed with any support. ETS may also request additional information before making its decision.















Personal information is collected for the purpose of the ETS Customer Engagement and Retention and will be used to determine the capacity of sponsorship. Collection is authorized under section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and is managed and protected in accordance with the Act. The City intends to input the information into an automated system to generate content or make decisions, recommendations or predictions in accordance with the City of Edmonton Generative AI Standard (see Council Policies, Standards section).
