Getting to Rogers Place

Here are a few things to remember if you are attending the games in person at Rogers Place, or heading out to watch the game at one of our city’s fabulous bars and eateries.

Bus and LRT Service

Multiple ETS bus routes, as well as Capital/Metro and Southeast Valley Line trains, serve Edmonton’s downtown and provide service within walking distance of Rogers Place.

Riders are encouraged to plan ahead using the Trip Planner or real-time tools such as Google Maps.

Transit Fares and Arc

Regular fares apply on game days for the LRT and regular bus service. Riders 12 years of age and under ride for free on bus and LRT service when with a fare-paying adult.

Riders can also use Arc – the smart way to ride and pay for transit. Simply tap on and off transit using an Arc card, debit or credit card, single-use Arc ticket or an Arc multi-day pass.

Rogers Place has several designated drop-off and pick-up locations for the general public, as well as rideshare locations.

Anticipate significant traffic and pedestrian congestion downtown on game nights. Motorists should avoid the area or use alternate routes.

104 Avenue, from 101 Street to 105 Street, will be closed to vehicle traffic during the third period and will reopen once egress from ICE District is complete. Vehicles will still be able to exit all parkades in the area.

ETS buses along 104 Avenue will continue to operate on the regular routing.

Please note: the Valley Line – West LRT accelerated roadwork and the Imagine Jasper Avenue project will impact travel downtown.

  • 102 Ave, between 107 Street and 102 Street is fully closed temporarily to vehicular traffic. North/south traffic across 102 Avenue will be maintained on 105 Street
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained. However, detours will be in place. View up-to-date pedestrian wayfinding information.

For further information, check the Current Traffic Disruptions map.

Public Washrooms

For those coming to the Oilers watch parties in ICE District, there are washroom facilities inside Rogers Place for those who have purchased tickets, as well as ample portable toilets in both the Plaza and Fan Park.

On playoff game days, the Churchill washrooms in the Centennial pavilion will remain open until 1am

Find out more about public washrooms.

Sir Winston Churchill Square Activities

On game days, join the Edmonton Arts Council in Sir Winston Churchill Square for free pre-game activities for the whole family. Enjoy a friendly game of street hockey in an inflatable rink and write a message of encouragement from the Edmonton Oilers on our community banner, all before puck drop.
