Mother's Day Zebra PhotoMother’s Day

We will be putting a spotlight on moms - animal and human - this Mother’s Day! Our resident animal moms will be getting special enrichment treats throughout the afternoon! Enjoy a visit to our Canada 150 Tulip Garden or pick up a present for Mom at our Arts Market. Enjoy magic shows, airbrush tattoos, animal encounters, planting activities, live music and more!

Wolves PhotoCanada Day Birthday Celebration

Oh Canada! “Get Closer” as we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday and also the Zoo’s and Lucy’s birthdays as well! At the big birthday bash, take part in our scavenger hunt, learn to paint like Lucy, enjoy live music and learn about all of our Canadian animal friends! Don’t forget to sing Happy Birthday to Lucy and enjoy a mini cupcake!

Be a part of Canada’s year-long birthday celebration by joining us for tea! Visit our Canada 150 Tulip bed and listen to performances from the children of 100 Voices Preschool, as well as engaging animal encounters. We will finish with complimentary tea, cold drinks and baked goods.

Bees have been in the news lately as global populations decline and urban beekeeping becomes more popular. Enjoy a glass of wine and some appetizers as you learn about the latest research into bees native to Alberta. Visit the zoo’s bee hives and sample some honey made by the Zoo’s bees!
