Hosted by the City of Edmonton’s Office of Emergency Management, during Emergency Preparedness Week, Get Ready in the Park is a free, informative and interactive event that is fun for the whole family!
- Learn how to prepare for a variety of emergencies
- Meet the people who work on the frontlines during an emergency
- See the inside of a fire truck and other emergency vehicles
- Meet and talk with emergency responders from the Edmonton and metro region
- Have lunch at one of the on-site food trucks
Local emergency responders along with almost 60 groups from Edmonton’s emergency response community will be on-site to help people learn how to prepare for a variety of emergencies.
Parking at the event is limited. ETS will provide free shuttle service at Windsor Car Park (Note: There is a $5.50 fee to park here as regulated by the University of Alberta) for passengers attending Get Ready in the Park.
