Service Changes

Five times each year, ETS reviews rider feedback, schedules, service levels and routes to ensure we’re providing the right amount of service at the right time.

Starting December 3, 2023, various bus routes will have some service changes, to reflect typical winter ridership patterns.

Route Schedule and Frequency Changes

Routes 1-100: 2, 3, 7, 51, 53, 54, 55, 56

Routes 101-199: 101, 104, 106, 107, 109, 112, 114, 119, 121, 123, 127, 130X, 140X, 150X

Routes 500-599: 500X, 501, 502, 505, 506, 508, 515, 516, 518, 519, 523, 560

Routes 600-699: 613, 623, 624, 625, 626, 634, 657, 671, 674, 678, 681, 685

Routes 700-799: 701, 702, 709, 717, 718, 719, 727

Routes 900-999: 900X, 901, 902, 903, 904, 906, 907, 909, 913, 914, 915, 916, 917, 918, 919, 922, 923, 925, 930X

Updated route brochures and School Special brochures will be available on December 3, 2023. Plan your trip early by selecting a date after December 3 on the ETS Trip Planner or Google Maps.

Other Service Adjustments

Routes 2 and 101 - These routes went back to their original routing at the end of October due to the completion of the Latta Bridge construction.

Route 998 was also cancelled

Routes 106, 150X, 613, 624 and 625 - These routes went back to their original routing at the beginning of November.

Routes 52, 53, 54, 55 and 56 - These routes will see additional weekday evening and weekend morning and evening trips added.

Route 56 will also see more trips extended to the Meadows Transit Centre in the morning peak.

Route 112 - Midday service added to its Sunday schedule.

Route 500X - Frequency improvements for both morning and evening peak times.

Route 907 - All evening trips are now being extended to Westmount Transit Centre.

Route 923 - Additional service during midday and early evening times.

To help riders transition to the Valley Line Southeast LRT, Route 73 A/B will continue to operate during the first few months of Valley Line Southeast service.

After February 2024, Route 73 will not be in service. As a result, riders will need to transition to the Valley Line Southeast.

Glenridding On Demand stops will move from Rabbit Hill Rd to Glenridding Ravine Road Southwest with the completion of new roads in the neighbourhood

Bus stops near Strathearn LRT stop will be activated for the Cloverdale and East Seniors zones

Bus/ On Demand Transit Holiday Service Changes

The following days will see changes in service over the Christmas holidays:

December 25: All bus routes operate using reduced Sunday schedules.
December 26: All bus routes operate using Saturday schedules. Service on Route 4 is increased during the morning period.
December 27, 28, 29 and 30: All school trips and school special routes cancelled. Regular bus routes operate using reduced weekday schedules.
December 31: From 6pm until the end of service, all transit riders can board buses, LRT and DATS for free. Some routes will also have extended service until 3am.
January 1: Sunday service.
January 2, 3, 4 and 5: All school trips and school special routes cancelled. Regular bus routes operate using reduced weekday schedules.

January 8: Full service on all bus routes resumes.

January 31: All public school specials will be cancelled due to a professional development day.
