2017 Transit Service Reallocation Plan
Starting July 2, service from underused bus routes will be moved to higher-demand routes to improve on-time performance and address overcrowding. The transit services selected for reductions or cancellations have very low use with an average of 12 passenger boardings per hour. City Policy typically requires 15 boardings per hour in off-peak time periods and 30 passenger boardings during peak periods, depending on the type of route. Some routes will be cancelled entirely, while other routes will only see cancellations in specific time periods or particular trips.
Numerous projects are taking place around the city this year that require temporary changes to some bus routes and schedules.
LRT Arrival Signs
ETS is now live testing software updates to the arrival signs. If live testing goes well, the signs will remain on. If adjustments are required, the signs may be temporarily unavailable.
Bay/Enterprise Square LRT Station Entrances
The south entrance located on 104 Street at Bay/Enterprise Square LRT Station is temporarily closed for renovations. Access the station using the north and south entrances on 103 Street and the north entrance on 104 Street. Please plan ahead if you are using this station for your daily commute and special events, including hockey games. Upgrades will improve safety, security and the overall look of the station, and include:
New entrance doors with electronic mechanism for locking and unlocking.
Upgraded structure with new glass around the entrance and new plexiglass on the ceiling.
- Stadium Transit Centre: Parking Notice and Bus Detours
From May 1 until early July, the east side of Stadium Transit Centre is closed while crews safely and quickly perform planned construction to renew the roadway for buses. Some free parking stalls are sectioned off during this time. Routes 125, 837, 858 and DATS shuttles that normally use bus stop numbers 1401, 1402 and 1403 will detour to a replacement stop located on the west side of the transit centre. A pedestrian access to the LRT station is also available on the west side. On-site signage is available to assist transit riders. Transit Centre Map.
