Travel only if it’s essential. LRT and buses are using an enhanced Saturday service schedule until further notice.  

Late Night Supplementary Service
Essential health care workers may be eligible for Late Night Supplementary Service that includes one-way trips between 10pm and 1:30am. Please call 311 for eligibility and to register.

Route 594, 595 and 596 Update
ETS will not be operating two seasonal shuttles: Route 594 to the Edmonton Valley Zoo and the Route 596 to Hawrelak Park until further notice. 

As a reminder to customers, due to ongoing renovations at Fort Edmonton Park, there will be no seasonal service on Route 595 this year. 

Service Alerts

  • Upcoming Night Detours
    Due to Valley Line Southeast construction, there are a couple of upcoming night time detours. Both detours are from 10pm-6am nightly.

  • Connors Road Weekend Detour 
    During Valley Line Southeast construction on Connors Road, this road will be closed to all traffic from 95 Avenue to south of the Low Level Bridge. Each weekend, the road will be closed from 10pm on Friday until 6am on Monday. This work is scheduled to occur on May 22-25 and May 29-June 1. 

    As a result, bus routes 8,15,112 and 151 will be on detour on these weekends. Routes 8, 15 and 112 will still be able to access the Low Level Bridge via 98 Avenue NW. 

    This work is related to the Connors Road pedestrian bridge replacement to accommodate the new Valley Line Southeast LRT.

  • Route 52 and 318 detour of 104 Street Northbound
    Effective at noon on Thursday April 23, bus routes 52 and 318 will detour all stops on 104 Street northbound between 76 Avenue and Saskatchewan Drive to allow for more physical distancing for pedestrians. Please board or exit Route 52 at temporary stops at 76 Avenue and 104 Street EB, and 82 Avenue and Gateway Boulevard NB. Please board or exit Route 318 at the same temporary stop at 76 Avenue and 104 Street Eastbound.  

  • Corona Station Escalators Replacement
    Both escalators on the east side of the Corona Station platform are currently undergoing complete replacement and will be out of service until spring 2020. To move between the station’s concourse and platform, please use the stairs or elevators.

  • University Transit Centre, Bus Stop #2001 closed until 2021
    Bus stop #2001 will be closed at University Transit Centre for the duration of campus construction taking place near the transit centre. Passengers can use bus stop #2002 south of the transit centre to board Routes 4, 51, 54, 106 and 318. 

  • Groat Road Detour
    Routes 128 and 130, as well as School Specials 725 and 757 will detour away from Groat Road until the completion of the Bridge and Road Renewal project in Fall 2020. If you use these routes, please plan ahead. 

    During this time, these routes will suspend service to University Transit Centre and will be redirected to serve Government Centre Transit Centre. This route will include stops near Corona and Grandin/Government Centre LRT stations.

  • Improvement Projects

  • Jasper Avenue Detours/Service Updates
    From March 23-November 28, 2020, construction for the Jasper Avenue New Vision will be taking place on Jasper Avenue between 97-100 Street. During the construction, lanes will be reduced to one lane in either direction and the left turn northbound on 97 Street from Jasper Avenue will be closed.  As a result, nine routes will be on detour (2, 3, 5, 14, 100, 109, 161, 162 and 308) and three routes will stop at fewer bus stops (routes 88, 120 and 309).

    Note: From March 23 until further notice, Routes 2, 3, 5, 14, 100, 109, 120, 161 and 162 will operate on Saturday schedules. Routes 2, 5 and 100 will have extra service during peak hours. Routes 88, 308 and 309 do not have Saturday schedules and will not be operational until ETS resumes regular weekday schedules.

    Reduced Transit Service Details

    From April 13 until mid-November, anticipate delays for Routes 1, 5, 14, 100 and 120 traveling on Jasper Avenue between 109-114 Street starting in spring due to Imagine Jasper Avenue construction.

    • During this time, lanes will be reduced to one lane in either direction and bus stops #1818 (109 Street and Jasper Avenue WB) and #1812 (111 Street and Jasper Avenue WB) will be closed
    • Please use stops #1959 (108 Street and Jasper Avenue WB) and #1840 (112 Street and Jasper Avenue WB) to board these route

    Note: Bus stop #1840 has been relocated to be on the road but will continue to be accessible.

     

LRT Notifications

  • McKernan/Belgravia LRT Station Closure 
    From Sunday May 3 until July (weather permitting), McKernan/Belgravia LRT Station will be closed for platform renewal work. Trains will continue to pass through the station, but will not stop to pick up or drop off passengers. Please use Health Sciences/Jubilee or South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park stations. 

    If necessary, riders can also use Bus Routes 4 or 106 to connect between the bus stops at 76 Avenue and 114 Street and either Health Sciences or South Campus stations.

    Starting May 4 (unless otherwise indicated):

    • From 5-9am daily, northbound Capital/Metro Line trains run every 5-10 minutes from Century Park.
    • After 9am, Capital/Metro Line trains run every 15 minutes. Metro Line trains only run between NAIT & Health Sciences.
       
    Note: Metro Line trains will run only between NAIT and Health Sciences stations all day on Saturday, May 23.  
  • Health Sciences Station Pedestrian Crossing/Entrance Closure
    The pedestrian crossing and north entrance to Health Sciences will be closed June 19-29. This is to accommodate upgrades, including adding pedestrian gates, as well as replacing/widening the sidewalk to improve accessibility for those in wheelchairs. 

  • LRT Arrival Signs
    The City of Edmonton continues to work with the contractor to fix the arrival signs and announcements.

Current elevator and escalator outages and scheduled maintenance in Edmonton Transit LRT Stations.
When the LRT is experiencing difficulties due to unforseen circumstances and may be unable to provide service to every stop, ETS provides replacement service with buses to ensure that customers are still able to reach their destination.
