Detour Map

97 Street Detours

From the start of service on August 6 until approximately September 2, the intersection at 97 Street and 102 Avenue will be closed so TransEd can continue building the Valley Line LRT.

As a result, ETS will detour routes 3, 14, 100, 109, 161, 162 and 308 off 97 Street. These routes will all detour onto 95 Street between Jasper Avenue and 103A Avenue.

ETS Detours and Service Delays

Route 560 to Spruce Grove will also detour off 97 Street. Morning trips on Route 560 will operate on 100 Street, and afternoon trips will operate on 95 Street. St. Albert bus routes 201, 207 and 211 will also detour off 97 Street. Customers can find more information about St. Albert Transit detours on their website

Orange and white detour notices will be installed on posts next to closed bus stops and new temporary stops in advance of the detours.

During this construction, ETS customers may experience service delays as buses navigate construction sites and manage roadways with increased traffic.

This is the final of three planned intersection closures along 102 Avenue this summer. In May, ETS detoured 15 routes due to the closure at 101 Street and 102 Avenue. In June, ETS detoured 21 routes due to the closure at 100 Street and 102 Avenue.

TLC for LRT

We’re keeping our LRT system on track with some Tender Loving Care this spring/summer. Plan for upcoming maintenance and service changes.

66 Street Tunnel Renewal/NAIT Station Closure

From April 28 to August 30 (excluding K-Days), crews will be completing revitalization work on the 66 Street tunnel between Coliseum and Belvedere stations, including track replacement and work on the overhead catenary system. As a result, from 5am-7pm on weekdays, Capital and Metro Line trains will run every 12 minutes between Churchill and Clareview, and Churchill and Kingsway, respectively. Trains will run every 6 minutes between Century Park and Churchill. On weekends and after 7pm on weekdays, Capital and Metro Line trains run every 15 minutes.

Until August 25, LRT service is suspended to NAIT. To access the LRT from NAIT, please take bus routes 8 or 9 to Kingsway/RAH Transit Centre.

To help accommodate NAIT students, ETS will operate a day-time shuttle train to NAIT Station from August 26-30. Take the Metro Line to Kingsway/Royal Alex Station and then walk across the platform to board the special NAIT shuttle. It runs every 12 minutes between 6:13am and 4:30pm and is timed to connect with Metro Line trains.

After 4:30pm, customers will need to use Routes 8 and 9 from Kingsway/RAH Transit Centre to get to NAIT.

Regular Metro Line service to NAIT Station resumes on August 31.

Bus Stops #5342 and #5323 temporarily closed
Starting at 9am on August 13, Bus Stops #5342 (83 Ave/167 St NB) and #5323 (167 St/80 Ave WB) will be closed for approximately three weeks due to Valley Line West work. Please use Bus Stop #5493 (167 St/83 Ave WB) or the temporary stop at 80 Ave/167 St SB to board Routes 112 and 115 to West Edmonton Mall.
