Get ready to be ‘Thunderstruck’ - rock legends AC/DC are coming to Edmonton!

On Sunday August 9, 2026, Commonwealth Stadium will host AC/DC: PWR Up Tour 2026.

The legendary band - alongside special guest The Pretty Reckless - known for its hard rock, blues rock and heavy metal sound, brings its full concert production to Edmonton. Get ready to rock ‘n’ roll!

Merchandise

Merchandise will be available for sale on the west side by Gate 6 and east side by Gate 10 on:

  • August 8 (day before the concert): Noon-6pm
  • August 9: starting at noon until 30 minutes after the show

Attendees are encouraged to purchase merchandise early to avoid lineups inside.

Know Before You Go

Make your concert experience a smooth one as you’re visiting Commonwealth Stadium.

  • Gates open at 5:30pm. The opening act starts at 7pm. 
  • Guests are encouraged to arrive early to go through security screening lines at the stadium.

Clear Bag Policy and Bag Search 

Commonwealth Stadium strongly encourages fans not to bring bags. For public safety and security, there is a mandatory clear bag policy in place for all events. 

Permitted Bags
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 12" x 6" are allowed
  • Small clutch bags that are not clear, but do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" in size are allowed

All bags may be subject to search.

Fans without bags can use the Express Lanes. Exceptions to this policy will be made for all medically necessary items after proper inspection and approval.

Bag Check Station

There will be a limited bag check for a $20 fee, first come, first served. This service is located on the west side of the Stadium, near Gate 6 entrance, in Lot A. The City and Stadium staff are not responsible for lost items. 

Weather Policy

Commonwealth Stadium is an outdoor venue. The City encourages attendees to plan ahead and come prepared for all weather conditions. The event will go ahead rain or shine, though inclement weather may cause delays. Small, collapsible umbrellas without pointed tips are permitted inside the venue, but large umbrellas are not allowed.

In the event of extreme weather, Live Nation and Ticketmaster will reach out to ticket holders with more information.

We encourage concert-goers to consider other forms of transportation, such as taking transit, shared e-bikes and e-scooters, ride share and taxis.

Your Concert Ticket is Your Fare

Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is making it easier for riders to take transit to the concert. 

Simply show your valid concert ticket as proof of payment when boarding any Park & Ride shuttle, ETS bus or LRT. 

This ticket will be accepted as valid fare up to 2 hours before the concert start time and 2 hours after the concert ends. Regional fares still apply outside Edmonton.

  • There is no need to tap on or off with Arc validators when using your concert ticket as fare
  • Please ensure you keep your ticket in case you are asked to show proof of fare during your trip

Park & Ride

Park & Ride is available from the following locations:

An ETS downtown shuttle will also run from Bus Stop #1321 (100 Street and 102 Avenue northbound, located on the west side of Churchill Square) to transport people to and from the stadium.

Bus Frequency

Buses will start running at 5:30pm and run approximately every 5 minutes until the concert starts. After the concert ends, Park & Ride buses leave from Commonwealth Stadium until the venue is clear. 

Riding the LRT

Riders can also park at the following locations and take the Capital Line LRT to Stadium Station. Both lots offer free and paid parking options.

Bikes, E-scooters, E-bikes, Ride Shares and Taxis

There will be supervised bike valet parking on the northeast corner of Clarke Stadium

Ride share services and taxis are also available at pick-up and drop-off areas on the northwest side of the Stadium at 90 Street and 110 Avenue near Lot A, and on the east side at 84 Street and 106A Avenue. Signs will guide you to the drop-off and pick-up locations.

You can also take a shared e-scooter or e-bike to the concert using a City-approved vendor, Bird Canada or Lime. Riders are reminded to park responsibly and be considerate of other road users. Parking locations can be found in the Bird or Lime app before ending your trip.

Wheelchair Drop-off and Pick-up Location

Accessibility gates are #2, 6, 9 and 11. Wheelchair drop off will be Lot A by Gate 6.
Please make sure wheelchairs are properly labelled and identifiable.
