takin outdoors in grassy area

Located along the North Saskatchewan River, the Edmonton Valley Zoo prioritizes animal welfare and community environmental responsibility.

Come and explore one of Edmonton's premier attractions!

The Edmonton Valley Zoo is home to more than 250 animals, focused on conservation, and offers fun and education for the whole family.

Big things are happening at the Edmonton Valley Zoo!

We have started the Enclosure Renewal and Enhancement Project, which focuses on modernizing habitats for Lucy and our carnivores. You will encounter fenced-off zones and rerouted pathways. Some animals have been moved to allow for safe construction.
