Outdoor Swimming Pools are scheduled to open on the following dates, weather permitting:
Fred Broadstock Outdoor Pool: May 20 (Reservations open May 13)
Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool and Kinsmen Spray Park: May 27 (Reservations open May 23)
Oliver: June 3 (Reservations open May 27)
Borden Natural Swimming Pool: June 10 (Reservations open June 3)
Looking for a place to cool off during the hot summer months? Visit any of the City's outdoor swimming pools and have a whale of a time splashing, socializing with friends and family or simply relaxing for the day. The City manages a total of 5 outdoor swimming pool complexes including the newly refurbished and first of its kind in Canada, Borden Natural Swimming Pool.

Please note: Closures are determined by temperature (below 18 °C), extreme weather (stormy, heavy rain, lightning / thunder), and bookings.
Outdoor pool status is updated daily at 10am and 2pm.
Admission & Memberships
Regular 2023 admission prices apply. Outdoor Pools are Value type admission with the exception of Aquafit at Oliver and Swim Training at Queen Elizabeth, which are Benefit Plus programs. Children 12 years and younger can access outdoor pools for free.
Admission to these pools is included with all City of Edmonton Recreation Centre memberships, including the Summer Youth Pass.
The Summer Youth Pass will be available for purchase between June 19 - August 31. It is $35 for this monthly pass for Youth and Children aged 2-17 years of age.
