Enjoy our drop-in indoor playgrounds where children can climb, slide, hang, and race through a 2-storey play structure.

  • Inflatable playground: Inflatable climbing structures for toddlers and pre-school aged children.
  • Imagination playground: Build your own creations with our large blue blocks
  • Preschool Wheels: Bring your own bikes to ride around the courts. Located in Volleyball Court #5.
  • Bonus Preschool Wheels: Ride bikes indoors on the Kinsmen track! Located at the lower track.

Please note that bikes will not be provided for Preschool Wheels. Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times. Don’t forget your helmets and bike safety equipment!

Indoor Playground Expectations

  • The indoor playground is not staffed. Parents/guardians (15 years and older) are required to stay in the play area and actively supervise their child/children.
  • Please pay at the front desk prior to entering the playground.
  • Food, gum and beverages are not permitted in the indoor playground. For safety of others, we ask that you do not bring peanut products into the play area. At O'Leary only: Snack food and drinks, excluding gum and peanut products, are permitted inside the playground room.
  • Please remove all footwear before entering the Indoor Playground and store on a shoe rack.
  • Socks must be worn at all times (including parents/guardians). For medical/health reasons an individual may be required to wear indoor shoes. This will be determined on a case by case basis. Recreation centre staff will ask to see the indoor shoes.
  • Strollers are to be parked outside of the playground in the stroller parking section of the hallway. At O'Leary only: strollers are permitted inside the playground room.
  • Please be aware that there are children of various ages occupying the play space. Based on attendance and capacity, staff may limit access.
  • In case of emergency, please contact the information desk for assistance.

* Parent and Tot admission provides access to the indoor playground for one tot and one parent. An adult wishing to use other amenities in addition to the indoor playground requires an adult membership or an adult drop-in admission.

** Tots (0-23 months) with a valid pass receive unlimited visits to the Kids
Den pending internal capacity, with a maximum of 2.5 hours per visit. This
pass is usable at all Kids Den locations and Indoor Playgrounds. (The
Monthly Tot’s Pass is rec centre specific and does not include JJNC.)

Member Information

Indoor playground admission is included in “All Facility”, “Facility Plus“,  and “All Facility Child/Family” memberships (dependent on the location you are attending.) Additional children and tots, without a membership, require a regular drop-in admission. For more information, see Admission and Memberships.

For indoor playgrounds, "membership" refers to any of the following:

  • Multi-admission passes
  • Monthly pass
  • Continuous monthly membership
  • Annual membership
