Montrose-Newton Proposed Shared-Use Path
During public engagement for Montrose and Newton Neighbourhood Renewal projects, the City heard from residents about developing a formalized asphalt trail and lighting along the berm that runs south of Yellowhead Trail between 50 Street and 66 Street. The City is sharing its concept plan to gather additional feedback that will influence the trail design.

About the Program
Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction.
It also includes the opportunity for two local improvements, sidewalk renewal and decorative streetlights.
A series of public open houses were held to give residents the opportunity to view the design plans and discuss details with the project team.
