The sodding program resumed in Bellevue north of 112 Avenue the week of April 27, 2020. It is 95% complete. The only areas that still need sod are those that have other construction occurring. Once that is complete, sod work will be finished. The project is scheduled to be completed on time and on budget in fall 2020.
Neighbourhood Renewal began in Bellevue and Virginia Park in 2018 and was completed in 2019.
About the Program
Bellevue and Virginia Park were chosen for reconstruction in spring 2018. Virginia Park construction was completed the same year with landscaping elements completed in 2019. Bellevue was completed in 2019 apart from some outstanding sod work that was completed in 2020.
Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of street lights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction.
