Pre-Construction Meeting - February 2018

On Thursday February 1, City representatives held an open house to provide detailed information regarding the final design including pedestrian and cycling improvements, what residents can expect during construction and the local improvement process for the Allendale neighbourhood reconstruction project.

Paving Stone Colour Choice

During the pre-construction meeting, participants were asked to provide their input on which colour of stone would be installed at the raised crosswalk at 65 Avenue. All feedback is now collected and red paving stones were decided to be installed.

About the Program

Allendale has been chosen for reconstruction beginning in spring 2018.

Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction.

It also includes the opportunity for two local improvements, sidewalk renewal and decorative streetlights.
