A planning application has been received to rezone property at 2008 105 Street NW.
The proposed rezoning of 2008 105 Street NW is from Urban Services Zone (US) to a Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2).
The rezoning would allow for the construction of a multi-unit, mixed-income housing development.
Public Engagement Session
Edmontonians were invited to a drop-in public engagement session on November 7, 2019, about the proposed rezoning.
The engagement session was an opportunity to learn more about the proposal through a series of display boards and share your views with the City and the applicant, Capital Region Housing Corporation. Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council for consideration when the proposed rezoning goes to a future Public Hearing for a decision.
What We Heard Report
The site is part of the City’s Building Housing Choices initiative (Policy C583), which repurposes vacant school sites, where a school building is no longer needed, into mixed income affordable housing. Subject to City Council approving the rezoning, the City intends to sell the site to Capital Region Housing Corporation to build and operate the housing development.
