The application proposes to rezone the property from the Single-Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to the Direct Development Control Provision (DC1) zone.

The proposed rezoning would allow the designation of the Magrath Mansion as a Municipal Historic Resource.

The  proposed DC1 Provision  would also allow for private educational services and public libraries and cultural exhibit uses in support of the Concordia University of Edmonton.

A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 5335 112 Avenue NW. 
This application proposes to rezone the site from the Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to a Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2) to allow for limited neighbourhood convenience commercial and personal service uses within an existing building. 

If the existing building is demolished, a new commercial building can be developed with greater minimum setbacks and maximum height. Low-density residential opportunities that reflect the Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) are also permitted if the existing building is demolished.

An associated application has been made to amend the Highlands Neighborhood Planning Study to amend two land use maps to reflect the proposed zoning.
